Description
Gondomar del Reino Reino Ribera del Duero DOP Crianza is a supberb red wine, elegant and full bodied. It’s from the Ribera del Duero wine region which is famous for its full-bodied red wines – and often thought to be better value than the better known Rioja region.
On the nose, this fabulous wine delivers aromas of ripe black fruit and wood smoke. On the palate, it has a persistent fruitiness with hints of vanilla and cacao. Oak aging imparts subtle notes of balsamic.
Made with Tempranillo grapes, this wine is aged in French and American oak barrels. Enjoy with tapas, cheese and red meat. Enjoy a glass with some chargrilled chorizo or a slow cooked beef stew.
Bodegas Gondomar del Reino is situated in Fompedraza, a village in Valladolid, Castile and León. They make mostly red wines, with the Tempranillo grape accounting for 90% of production.
The region is famous for its rich soil, Mediterranean climate and high altitude vineyards. The result? Flavourful wines that are as unique as the land they come from.
