Description

The Blue Sakura matcha gift set is a celebration of Japanese tradition. It contains everything you need to host a tea ceremony at home.

Handmade in Japan, the bowl is a beautiful shade of dark blue. The interior is decorated with a delicate floral pattern. Sakura means ‘cherry blossom’ in Japanese. The pale pink flowers symbolise fleeting beauty and new beginnings.

The set includes:

Glazed porcelain matcha tea bowl
Bamboo matcha whisk
Whisk holder
Chashaku bamboo matcha tea spoon

Matcha is a finely ground green tea powder. It has been enjoyed as part of the Japanese tea ceremony for hundreds of years. Rich in antioxidants, it is said to boost brain health and relieve stress.

For one serving of tea, use the chashaku to measure two scoops of matcha powder into the bowl. Add a splash of hot water and use the whisk to make a paste. Top up with approximately 70ml of hot, not boiling, water. Use the matcha whisk in a vigorous ‘W’ motion until the matcha becomes very frothy. Enjoy immediately.
